Improving health, normalizing bodily functions, and even treating certain diseases can be achieved with the right choice of mineral water. However, it should not be consumed occasionally but according to a specific regimen. So, which water should you choose, and in what cases is it beneficial?

Since the 15th century, it has been known that mineral water helps improve overall health and positively impacts digestion. Medical experts actively studied this field, and in 1572, the first analysis of healing water was conducted. Less than 100 years later, in 1680, Professor Paul de Sorbet from the Vienna Medical Faculty published a description of the healing properties of Rogaska water in his book Praxis Medicae ("Practical Medicine"), which was already popular at the time.

The source of Donat Mg mineral water is located at the Rogaska Slatina spa resort in Slovenia.

For a certain period, the source was owned and sold by the Community of Vienna Pharmacists.

In the 19th century, drinking springs were under the rule of the Duchy of Styria. Count Attems initiated the development of the modern resort. In 1804, Dr. Frohlich became its director, being the first to conduct medical examinations of patients at the spa.

Due to the high demand for mineral water, a decision was made to build a mineral water production plant in Rogaska Slatina in 1812.

Soon, the resort gained immense popularity, attracting distinguished guests from all over Europe and the Viennese court. Leading specialists frequently prescribed balneotherapy for various ailments.

As demand grew, a bottling plant was constructed in 1904. Four years later, an unexpected event occurred: a mineral water spring with a high magnesium content emerged from the depths of the earth in the center of today's spa park. Due to its unique properties and proximity to the Donat mountains, this water was named Donat.

The high magnesium content led to the addition of the chemical symbol Mg to the name Donat.

Leading scientists of the time studied the healing properties of Donat Mg water. Numerous studies confirmed its positive effects on the bile ducts, its effectiveness in treating diabetes, gastrointestinal diseases, and urinary tract disorders.

Research continued, with specialists sharing their experiences of using Donat Mg mineral water for metabolic disorders (diabetes), heart conditions, and the prevention of hormonal imbalances in menopausal women, as well as for gastrointestinal pathologies (gallbladder, stomach, intestines).

Donat Mg water has also shown positive effects in pediatric care.

For example, Donat Mg is well-suited for children with diabetes. Its consumption significantly increases magnesium levels in the blood, improves carbohydrate metabolism, enhances the sensitivity of peripheral cells to insulin, reduces glycosylated hemoglobin levels, and stabilizes body weight alongside normalized glycemia.

Donat Mg mineral water has proven effective in treating children with gastrointestinal, urinary, and cardiovascular diseases.

Even a single intake of mineral water has a positive effect on the body, reducing stomach acid levels and decreasing reflux. Regular consumption has even greater benefits!

A full course of Donat Mg mineral water intake significantly reduces symptoms of vegetative-vascular dystonia (VVD) in children, alleviating headaches, dizziness, weakness, fatigue, cardiac pain, tachycardia, anxiety, and irritability, while also improving sleep quality.

Research findings support the use of Donat Mg in the comprehensive treatment of arterial hypertension in children.

Donat Mg mineral water is also indicated for cardiovascular disorders and has a developed usage scheme for correcting functional bowel disorders (constipation).

The standard treatment course for Donat Mg mineral water is approximately 21 days, with a dosage of 3 ml/kg (but no more than 500 ml per day), taken three times daily, 20 minutes before meals.

Donat Mg is classified as a highly mineralized, carbonated, silica-rich sulfate-hydrocarbonate sodium-magnesium therapeutic drinking mineral water.

Ionized magnesium in its dissolved form, combined with a high bicarbonate content and natural carbon dioxide, ensures high biological availability and participation in biochemical reactions without side effects.
