The history of the Mehano brand dates back to 1952 when the company Mehanotehnika was founded, initially focusing on the production of high-quality toys. A modernization and new stage of development under the Mehano brand took place in 1990, and since then, the company has firmly established itself in the children's toy market and the railway modeling industry, achieving an optimal balance of price and quality. Today, when it comes to high-quality and affordable model railways, it's all about Mehano!

Mehano continuously expands its lineup of toy railways with the latest high-speed trains and locomotives, from the famous French TGV electric train series to the third-generation German Intercity-Express. At the same time, the company offers a wide range of classic series and original models, such as the historic Clyde Engineering locomotive from Australia or the rare American Rivo Bravo steam locomotive (starter set).

Adding to the excitement, Mehano offers specialized train sets with functional elements, including snowplow wagons, crane wagons, ore carriers, tanker cars, and platforms with removable containers, among others.

Mehano model kits are compatible with both traditional two-rail and three-rail Märklin AC power systems. The rail profile’s height and configuration allow Mehano components to be combined with products from other manufacturers, providing even greater flexibility for expanding model railways to personal preference. Mehano train sets are produced in the most popular H0 scale (1:87), as well as N scale (1:160) and TT scale (1:120).
